Business Overview, History and Current Operations

In 2002 Philip and Erica Till started Grande Food Service (GFS) with 6 dry pallets, 2 chiller pallets and 2 freezer pallets. They entered the food service market with no customer base and over time built a strong loyal following from offering their unique selling point of any time service, different unique brands and consistent reliable supply. In 2010 Daniel Till left Perth to join the team of 6 staff and assist with the continued growth and GFS also became a member of Countrywide Distributers opening doors to national buying power and customer loyalty programs. In 2011 we purchased a warehouse and we are still expanding freezers, chillers and floor space to the premises as we continue to evolve and now employ 13.5 TFE in 2016. In October 2015 Grande Food Service was the winner of the “Shooting Star” award for largest % year on year growth within Countrywide Food Distribution members nationally. (Appendix 6)

Grande Food Service is now an established Wholesale distributor of chiller, Freezer and Dry Foods as well as packaging and cleaning chemicals. We have an experienced team who are able to help with food solutions for the hospitality industry including Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels and Lunch Bars. We deliver to our customers 6 days a week Monday to Saturday to ensure every ones kitchen needs are met.

We have developed a culture of connecting with our customers through our networking events, telemarketing, customer visits and giving back through reward programs and regular prize giveaways. Our staff understands the importance to accommodate customer queries with a solutions based focus which sees us as the go to supplier for new menu ideas.

I am the owner and operator of Hooked on Middleton Beach and we have been using Grande Food Service as our supplier since we opened in May 2016. We have always had a great relationship with management and reps of Grande, they always ensure that we are kept up to date with the latest products/ specials ect.

The reps call in on a weekly/ regular basis to keep us consistently stocked and at very competitive pricing. They will even go out of their way after hours or with short notice to drop supplies off should we be in any need.
